Your legal rights. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and, where they apply to you, under the mandatory consumer laws of the EU country where you live. Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights. Where anything in these terms appears to conflict with them, those rights apply.
Accepting these terms or using this website does not count as consent to optional cookies or marketing, which require your separate choice, and does not count as a request for us to start a service early (see Cancellations & Returns).
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time and will publish the current version on this page with its document version. Updates apply to use of the website and to orders placed after the update. They do not change a contract already made with you unless you agree, or the change is required by law; the version that applied when you placed your order continues to apply to that order.

All orders made by you through www.mediacarnets.com are subject to acceptance by us. If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and will not take payment for it, or will refund any payment already taken.
After submitting an order to us we will send you an order acknowledgement notification with details of the goods that you have ordered. Please note this notification is an automated acknowledgement and is not an acceptance of your order.
Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you the customer and MEDIA CARNETS® LTD will take place at the point of order dispatch, unless we have notified you otherwise, or you have cancelled your order in accordance with the terms set out in Section 4 – Cancellations & Returns.
Delivery times we give are estimates. If an estimate needs to change, we will tell you in writing or verbally as soon as we can. Orders of excessive size, weight or value may take longer than the estimated time. If there is an issue with your order, we will notify you of a new delivery date or offer you an alternative date.
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control or by incorrect delivery details you provide. This does not affect your legal rights if we fail to deliver within the time agreed with you.
All UK deliveries are normally dispatched using Royal Mail using their premium next day delivery service, or a courier service for same day delivery. Both methods are classified as an additional service agreement offered by MEDIA CARNETS® LTD.
We reserve the right to charge additional carriage costs if a consignment is returned to us due to refusal at your delivery address.
Refused Delivery Charges: Please note that our courier charges us directly for every refused delivery, as such, items that are refused directly by you will be liable for a “Refused Delivery Charge” on top of any other shipping costs outlined by our terms. Our “Refused Delivery Charge” is currently £20.00 per refused delivery.
Please also note that our courier charges us directly for every failed collection, as such, if we arrange a collection using our courier service and the collection fails because you are not at the property when our courier arrives (i.e. you are not there to hand over your goods at the prearranged address), you will be liable to pay a “Nothing to Collect Charge” on top of any other shipping costs outlined by our terms. Our “Nothing to Collect Charge” is currently £15.00 per failed collection.
All orders are pre-checked and are well packaged before dispatch. If goods arrive damaged, please tell us as soon as possible — ideally within 24 hours of receipt — so we can investigate and, where the claim is valid, collect the Carnet from you at no charge. We may ask for photographs to help verify the damage. Reporting later does not remove your legal rights for goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described.
Once the Carnet has been delivered, you are responsible for its safekeeping and correct use. We are not responsible for damage or faults caused by incorrect use after delivery.
If you are a consumer and you buy our services at a distance (for example online, by email or by telephone), you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is made, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us at carnets@mediacarnets.com or on +44 7731 999656 with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
We will only start providing a service within that 14-day period if you make a separate, express request for us to do so. When you make that request we will ask you to acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, you will lose your right to cancel. Using this website, creating an account or accepting these terms does not count as that request.
If you cancel after asking us to start early, you may have to pay an amount in proportion to the service provided up to the time you told us you were cancelling. If the service has been fully performed at your express request and with that acknowledgement, the right to cancel no longer applies.
The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Where a Carnet or other item falls into that category, we will tell you before you order. Where an item does not fall into that category, the normal 14-day cancellation right for goods applies.
Separately from any cancellation right, if goods are faulty or not as described, or a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, you have legal remedies. These remedies apply even where the goods are personalised and even after a cancellation period has ended.
All our prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Where UK VAT applies, prices are displayed inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 20%. Whether UK VAT applies to customers outside the UK, including customers in the EU, depends on the type of supply and the customer's circumstances; we will show the VAT that applies before you pay.
MEDIA CARNETS® LTD does not take any responsibility for any import taxes, customs charges or administration fees payable on orders made outside of the European Union zone. It is the customer’s responsibility to cover all charges related to Customs and the import of goods.
All our prices, descriptions and shipping charges are reviewed regularly and we endeavour to ensure that the prices and the information provided on our website are correct at all times. In the event of an error in the information provided by our website, MEDIA CARNETS® LTD will notify you of this error immediately. In the event that a price or shipping charge is incorrectly displayed, MEDIA CARNETS® LTD will offer you the product/service at the correct price, or a full refund. We are not under any obligation to honour an incorrect price.
All credit and debit card processing is encrypted and handled securely and we do not see your card details at any time.
We currently accept the following methods of payment online: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Bank Transfer in GBP. We also support Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code verification.
We do not offer any additional commercial warranty or guarantee. This does not affect your legal rights: if you are a consumer, the law requires our services to be performed with reasonable care and skill, and goods we supply to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Decisions made by chambers of commerce and customs authorities about carnet applications and goods are outside our control.
Although we make every effort to ensure our website is available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if, for any reason, our website is unavailable at any time due to maintenance, system failure or conditions outside our control.

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that breach or failure. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when the contract was made. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
If you use our goods or services for business purposes, we are not liable to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of goodwill or loss of business opportunity.
We are not liable for loss or damage caused by viruses or other harmful material that may affect your equipment, software or data through your use of this website or websites linked to it, unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We use the information you provide through the website, the Carnet Pro apps, by email or by telephone to process your application, administer your carnet and meet our legal and accounting obligations. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which takes precedence if anything in these terms appears to conflict with it.
We do not see or store your card number when you purchase online.
We will make every effort to perform our obligations under the Contract. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to perform if such delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event of a delay, we will perform our obligations as soon as reasonably possible.
We take customers' privacy and confidentiality seriously. To provide our services we share the information needed with service providers that process it on our behalf — for example for hosted accounts, email delivery, invoicing, push notifications and, only where you have separately chosen it, AI assistance for kit lists — and with the chambers of commerce or authorities involved in your application. We do not sell your information.
Marketing emails are separate and optional. We only send them if you have opted in, and you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Withdrawing does not affect service emails about your account, applications or invoices.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Essential cookies and similar storage keep you signed in and keep the site secure; these are needed for the site to work and do not require optional consent. Our hosting and network providers may also set cookies used to deliver and protect the site, such as __cf_bm, and a __dpl cookie we have observed whose purpose we have not yet confirmed. Optional analytics or marketing features that we add to the Website ourselves are off by default and are only used if you actively choose to allow them in Cookie settings; continuing to browse, or closing the cookie notice, does not count as consent. The page-view and error analytics scripts that our hosting platform adds to pages are currently blocked from running by the Website's browser security policy. This does not block every cookie or every transfer to the service providers we need to deliver the site. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
