Travel by Ferry or Eurotunnel

Port Passes, GMRs, ENS, SSD

Extra documents required

Goods travelling on an ATA Carnet to Europe via Ferry or Eurotunnel need extra documents commonly referred to as “Port Passes”

These link your vehicle registration number to your Carnet so that port authorities can run seccurity checks and clear your vehicle to board.

Exactly what you need depends on the route you’re taking and whether you’re booked as freight or passenger.

How to get your Port Passes

You can get port passes from your travel agent or ferry company or, for a quick and easy method, let Media Carnets provide them for you.
